  1. In Dec. 2009, you wrongly attribute a quote that is a quote by the Rev. Dr. Howard Thurman. Gil Bailie tells the story in the first paragraph of the “In Gratitude” section of his 1995 book, Violence Unveiled: Humanity at the Crossroads (New York: Crossroad Publishing Company), on page xv. This is evidently the only place the quotation is in print:

“Once, when I was seeking the advice of Howard Thurman and talking to him at some length about what needed to be done in the world, he interrupted me and said, ‘Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.'”
Please correct this. Dr. Thurman was a great African-American leader in this country and ahead of his time and deserves to be rightly attributed. Thank you.

  2. This article http://www.crossingbordersproject.com/2009/12/harold-whitman.html references "Howard Thurman Whitman (1899 - April 10, 1981)". I think you mean just "Howard Thurman" and he is in fact the origin of the quote that starts the article as the first time it appeared in print was in a book that attributed it to him.
